just okay
This book was just OK for me. I didn't really like the way the story evolved..and I think the video and other sources I found will be better than this particular book. Just my honest opinion. Monday, November 10th, 2008

Emphasizes Attempts to Use Potty
Our daughter likes to do things right or not do them at all (for example, she didn't walk until 18 months). What we needed were books that encouraged the attempts to do something, and framing how to feel about failure. I liked the way the kid in this book tries and tries, fails, doesn't want to, has an accident, but then finally makes it! My favorite page is the last one, where the kid is "so proud of me!" I liked the way one of the other reviewers changes the language a little to make it fit her family better, sort of the way every book in our house has a female lead, regardless of the author's intent.
I highly recommend Sesame Street - Elmo's Potty Time for potty training. A very enjoyable viewing experience, with great songs like the TP Rap and Accidents Happen, which we still refer to even though my daughter is now 4. We also liked the Boon Potty Bench - still used as a bench in the bathroom.

pretty book
Not made a difference in her learning to potty but she likes the pictures and it helps to reinforce my message. She'll be ready when she's ready. Wednesday, October 8th, 2008

Potty Training
I purchased this book for my Grandaughter, who is not the least bit interested in going potty. I am hoping seeing the child in the book will encourage her.
She likes to look at the pictures and talk about what is happening on each page. The graphics are good and the colors are bright. The language is simple and the rhyme cute for a two year to understand.

My daughter's favorite potty book
This is my daughter's favorite potty book. Of course, she's a huge fan of the other "Lift-the-Flap" books, so I have to say I'm not terribly surprised. However, it's also one of the books that I find it the most enjoyable to read of all her potty books also, which is great when you're reading it at least once a day. I do like the fact that the book hits upon the idea that learning to go potty is a marathon, not a sprint, and that there are bound to be missteps, but that's okay. Monday, September 22nd, 2008
