Tide Powder Detergent, Original Scent, Case Pack, Two - 120 Load Boxes (240 Loads)

I've been using powdered Tide for around 30 years. Lately I've been having trouble finding it in my local grocery stores. Seems they've all gone to the liquid variety which I dislike due to the scent. Also, although I do recycle, I feel that the plastic is not as eco-friendly. I was happy to get good old Tide delivered straight to my door and a decent price. Maybe a little more that I've paid at Costco, but then again, I didn't have to pay $4.00 a gallon to get there either!

Tide in dry powder form is an outstanding cleaner. I keep trying to go totally green with household products, but I seem to keep coming back to Tide. It cleans admirably consistently. My compromise is to use "green" for less dirty laundry and save the Tide for loads that need heavy duty cleaning. Works for me.

Ever since a severe rash sent me to a dermatologist decades ago, I've been using Tide detergent. Liquid detergents, he said, are dangerous to your skin. They contain all kinds of irritants not included in an old-fashioned box of Tide.

Based on that advice, for upwards of 20 years I've avoided skin rashes from the nasty chemicals in liquid soap detergents.

I'm especially pleased with Amazon's subscription offering for Tide, too. Buying this way is so much less expensive than buying in a store, not to mention avoiding the schlepping (carrying heavy loads).

Tide is an economical, safe clothes detergent, which I recommend highly.

This isn't for me since I don't use as much detergent as when my six children were still in "the nest," but my younger friends with very large families swear by it.

They tell me they grew tired of constantly running to the store to get a fresh supply, so decided to try Tide in bulk. And they love it.

One woman told me that since the box is quite heavy she measures out a week's supply and stores it in a Tupperware container ... just as one of your other reviewers suggests.

I use the liquid form and have been very happy with it; Tide is a trusted brand for many years.

I sometimes use Tide powder detergent when I can't get my hands on the liquid form of this laundry soap--it is far and away superior to the other powder laundry detergents out there. It makes the most soap suds with the least amount of powder added to your wash.

I recommend buying Tide in this size because it is noticeably cheaper by the ounce in the 211 ounce size. Other plusses include instructions in Spanish on the rear of the container; and there are instructions as to what to do in case heaven forbid it is accidentally swallowed.

A few notes: A full container could be rather heavy so you may not be able to carry a full container too far. Consider this if you have to travel with this heavy box and your dirty laundry to a laundromat. If the full box is too heavy put some of the powder in a plastic bag and carry your powder laundry detergent to the laundromat that way. In addition, Tide does have a mild scent. If you are allergic to any scents or perfumes try an unscented version of Tide instead.

If you have a clothes washer and dryer machine at home stock up when you get a good value on this!

Overall, Tide is by far the best powdered laundry detergent; and if you can carry this heavy full container or some powder in a bag it is also the best value for your money. This is really important as laundromats and water bills seem to going UP these days! Tide makes a great laundry detergent. Don't waste your money on other detergents that just don't work as effectively.
