LOVE THESE!
I absolutely love these Aqua Globes! They are beautiful works of art, and work great. I'm not sure why other folks are having trouble with them, but I followed the directions and they work great for me. They're simple! Just make a small hole in the soil, fill the globe (easy to fill) and put in soil... that's it! I use them on my house plants, and they work just like they're supposed to: they gradually water my plants and keep them happy. As oxygen is released into the globe from the soil, water is released (very slowly) into the soil of the plant. And I love see the sunlight filter through the globes! Beautiful AND functional!! Aqua Globes equal moldy plants
These globes work too well. They kept my plants so consistently damp that after 10 days I had to remove them because mold was growing on the top of the soil around the spout. Saturday, November 22nd, 2008

Work well for tall indoor plants
I have had aqua globes for about 5 months now, and they've worked well with my tall indoor plants. The globe stems are too tall to use in smaller plants, however - so unfortuantely I couldn't use them for my plants on top of cabinets in kitchen which is why I bought them in the first place. (For those I'm now using plant nanny globes....slightly more expensive but the stem sits flush with the dirt in the plat, so only the actual globe is above dirt - works MUCH better for smaller plants).
Aqua globes are a bit hard to fill since they have such narrow stems (I can't seem to get plant food mixture into them via watering can unlike plant nanny globes which are much easier), but as long as you use a pen or such to dig a hole in the dirt in the plant first, they have worked well for me for several plants, including two that are very picky about water levels.
In fact, I bought these in the first place because had nearly killed a proud pothos due to root rot - but since I bought the aqua globe, that same plant has been thriving with only getting water via the globe.

no globe
These globes did not work at all, they simply filled with the dirt and my plants almost all died while I was away.
