Ice Cream Maker
A little noisy, would be nice if it had an automatic shut-off. All around great product.

Honestly now
To read all the 5 star reviews will give you a skewed impression. This machine makes average to poor ice cream. It may make great sorbet but I doubt I'll give it another try after two attempts at chocolate ice cream - the simple kind that tasted like Nesquick [although you use quality powered chocolate] and the more sophisticated custard based chocolate which no one would eat because it looked and tasted like chocolate glop.

Possibly the high end machines for $500+ make great ice cream. This one doesn't. My guess is that this is just another time when you [and all your guests] pretend home-made is better when it plainly isn't.

It may also be noisier than other posters have mentioned. I put mine in the garage after two minutes of deafening decibels.

Good store bought is: cheaper, better and quieter!

Sound
I just received this product as a gift and using it for the first time. Everything seems great, but the machine is very loud, especially when the directions instruct to let it run for 25minutes. It definitely can't be used when there are others sleeping nearby.

good ice cream maker
This ice cream maker requires freezing the canister for 24 hours before you can make ice cream. I found it a little noisy but it froze my ice cream much faster than my Lello gelato maker that has a refrigeration unit built in. It took 20 minutes to freeze my ice cream. I also like how light it is to move around the counter and how easy it is to clean up.
Its low cost, functional design and simplicity of use make it a great buy.

Cuisinart 2 qt. ice cream maker (pure indulgence)
I am a homemade ice cream lover! I have searched the internet for ice cream makers and reviews of each. After reading about the Cuisinart Pure Indulgence 2 qt. ice cream maker, I was sold. I am not disappointed either. The quality of the machine is excellent and the product performs as it says it will. Within 30 to 35 minutes I have soft serve ice cream. Freeze what you do not initially eat and it's even better. It's quick, simple, affordable, and absolutely the best ice cream maker I have ever purchased. I have had it about a month now and use it weekly. No more bought ice cream for me, just the purchase of supplies to make my own at home. I've yet to try the sorbet, but that is next on my agenda. If you enjoy homemade ice cream, then buy this product, you'll be glad you did.
