EasyBloom Plant Sensor
EasyBloom Plus Plant Sensor

I bought the plant sensor because I was curious as to how it worked. I am reasonably proficient about picking the correct kind of plants for their various needs. (Light, shade etc). I find this little gizmo to be easy to use and helpful in determining what conditions I have in my garden, and then giving me a choice of plants for those specific needs. (You can also put in a plant that may not be on the list).

I have a spot in my garden that I was not sure about. I put my sensor into the computer and chose the "recommend" option. I then put the sensor outside and left it for 48 hours to gather data(24 is recommended) to see what results I would get. After 48 hours, I plugged the sensor into the computer and it told me what plants were good for that particular location. You can also name your location like 'right side of driveway by utility pole'. This helps you to keep track of all the planting positions you have tested. The sensor records light, humidity and temperature by giving you a "plants eye view". You give the sensor information like your zip code and it monitors conditions for time of year, cloud cover and your local weather. It's really smart.

You can also look up plants on the EasyBloom web page, even if you don't own the sensor itself! I thoroughly enjoy taking the sensor out to the garden, sticking it in the ground (after switching it on) and letting it collect data. It's fun and I think children who have an interest in gardening would find this a very entertaining experience.

I would recommend this product to gardeners, even if you know all about the conditions in your garden because it is fun, and you might even learn a thing or two about your planting conditions!

I hope this was helpful to anyone interested in this product.

Outrageous Price!
I am interested in this item and will be purchasing it at some point, but $119.99 is outrageous. You can find this item much cheaper at other websites, i.e. $59.99. Do not pay the higher price. Do some research for the best price. Have rated it 5 stars but have not tried it yet. My rating is only based on what I have read. I just wanted to let all know that $119.99 is a very high price to pay.

Pleasantly surprised
My wife saw this product and passed it on to me. I wanted to test it and was happy with the results. I believe it will become an invaluable tool for my work.

EasyBloom
This is a great product for anyone that doesn't have a "green thumb" but has a love for plants!

Planting decisions are easier
The EasyBloom Plant Sensor has come in quite handy for making (or breaking) some of my gardening decisions. When I use recommend mode, it will tell me what kind of water levels, sun exposure, and temperatures that area is getting. When I review these results, I can also click on links to view other plants that would grow well in the environment it found.
The monitor mode gives you suggestions to improve the growth of whatever plant you've told it is growing there, prior to it's data collection. I used this feature at the end of winter, even though it was too cold to actually plant anything, just to see what it would say if it really thought I was. I told it I was planting peas, and it gave great feedback. It didn't just tell me the soil was too wet, it gave me tips on how to improve the moisture levels of my soil - by using it's water monitoring feature or what to use in my soil to encourage drainage. For temperature, it gave me suggestions of other locations I could plant where the sunlight would be warmer.
I haven't used the water monitoring feature yet.
