Kidz Bop 14

I haven't heard the CD, so I can't rate it. The four stars I gave it are only because I had to give the CD SOME rating in order to leave this review, which is actually a follow-up to a previous review by Nicole L. Ashton.

Ms. Ashton suggested that potential buyers of Kidz Bop 14 check the lyrics of "Stop and Stare," because it uses the "F-bomb" more than once and also the racist "N-word". That would certainly be a problem for us, so I indeed looked up the song's lyrics -- at both http://www.lyricsdir.com/onerepublic-stop-and-stare-lyrics.html and http://www.absolutelyrics.com/lyrics/view/onerepublic/stop_and_stare/ -- and I found neither of those offensive words, nor any others. And having given it another moment's thought, it seems highly unlikely to me that the producers of a popular on-going CD series aimed at kids and sung by kids would risk their reputation and future sales by choosing a song with those words in it.

I don't know what caused Ms. Ashton to write the review she did, but I sure don't think the Kidz Bop version of the song added offensive words not in the original. Maybe she heard those words on a different song on Kidz Bop 14 (or on another CD altogether) and attributed them to "Stop and Stare" by mistake. Or maybe she just misheard the lyrics.

My almost 5 year old loves this CD, we listen to it all the time. She also gets excited when we hear the songs on the radio

THIS IS A VERY ENJOYING CD. MY SON LOVES IT AND SO DO I. THIS MAKES A GREAT GIFT AND THE MUSIC IS REFRESHING!!!!

This was a gift for my daughter's 8th birthday and she and her friends love it. And it is not too annoying as the songs are from Top 40 artists.
