Fujitsu ScanSnap S510 Sheet-fed Scanner

This is a wonderful compact scanner! It was so simple to set up, easy to use, fast, and has a very small footprint. I would recommend it to anyone needing a desktop scanner for everyday use.

I purchased the ScanSnap from Fujitsu. After 2 weeks of frustration getting the software loaded and with two calls to customer service I called on the expertise of a professional in IT. He could not get suitable answers from Fujitsu customer service and I finally threw in the towel after a promised call was never received from customer service. After returning the product to Amazon (very easy by the way) I have finally gotten the promised call 14 days after the initial day! Needless to say, I am staying away from Fujitsu products as their customer service is woefully inadequate.

I purchased this scanner for several reasons, the most important being clean copy when I have to fax a document. Now I can scan it into pfd format and email right from the same screen. This scanner comes with the full version of Adobe so I can edit any document that I receive. I also purchased this to rid my office of paper clutter. I will scan and put to disk all documents relating to my clients file and have a hard copy in case my pc ever crashes. The scanner is quick and efficient. I highly recommend puchasing this product.

I got the ScanSnap after reading all of the rave reviews and have not been disappointed. The S510 is EXTREMELY easy to use, easy set-up, 1-button scan and loaded with options. With included software, you can also edit scanned documents in Microsoft Word. The process of scanning is very fast and the machine automatically detects 1 or 2 sided. It's a little pricey- but if you can afford, you will not be disappointed.

My friend had purchased this scanner for the Mac and loves it so I bought it as it seems to do everything I was looking for a scanner to do. My only issue, and I think it is HUGH, is that there was a problem with the Adobe Acrobat 8.0 that came with the scanner. It does not want to load onto my Dell laptop at all. I tried to get some tech support from Adobe and they only wanted to sell me the new 9.0 version instead of helping me resolve the issue with the version I just received with the scanner. I found this less than helpful. So, if you can get Acrobat to work, this scanner is a gem. You can basically make your life paperless, what a decluttering help!!
