Targus TXL617 17 XL Notebook Backpack

We have been really happy with this backpack. We purchased it for a 17" Acer laptop, specifically to take on a recent vacation. It had plenty of room for this oversized laptop, the cooler panel, all of the cables and other related equipment, and tons of other stuff (such as books, jackets, and pretty much anything else we wanted to carry).

There are so many assorted and varied pockets that we didn't know what to do with them all. And they were all very easy to get to.

It fit perfectly in the space between the front seats of our mini-van on the long drive from Texas to Florida and back, making it easy to get the laptop out when I needed it.

The backpack was really comfortable to carry for long periods of time, even though we probably had 40 pounds or more of stuff in it most of the time.

We would highly recommend this backpack to anyone who has a large laptop and a LOT of stuff to carry. It is sturdy and can handle as much as you want to shove in it.

The bag is everything i needed for my oversized 17 inch laptop. I am very pleased.

It is the best designed case I have ever seen! I have looked at probably 100 cases in the last two months and they were all sorely lacking. This is perfect from the size, to the weight (almost nothing!), to the pockets and how they are configured to the strap that wraps around your shoulder.

It really is a perfect case. While others may be uber cool because they are leather or patterned or designer branded, this is the ticket for the serious user who wants to carry everything and have their system protected. Good job,Targus!

I wanted a cool bag for my 17" hp pavillon...other backpacks were not big enough although it said 17"..then i found targus...it is a great bag with lot of space...even bigger than what i need...but it is okey and better to have more than none...You can put almost every thing you will need in this backpack...let me say it again...ALMOST EVERYTHING!!!and it is sturdy and durable..i love this backpack....I will certainly look for other products of targus....keep it up...we certainly want some more good products like of Targus...

Roomy enough for a 17" HP laptop and plenty of compartments. Velco strap holds laptop snug enough inside laptop compartment. Originally purchased mostly for while traveling on a flight with laptop and power supply, cordless mouse, Garmin Nuvi GPS, a very bulky GPS friction mount, camera, and other small electronics. Would have preferred a bit more padding at the base of laptop compartment. Durability seems ok although I've only had it for a few months so time will tell on the actual wear and tear -- varies from user to user in how rough we are on the zippers and mess pouches. Currently suits my usage fine for the price.
