Works great, easy to use, 'nuff said
I was surprised at how well this works. No nicks or irritation. Follow the directions in the box and you're good to go. Easy cleaning, charges quickly.
It does buzz rather loud though.
Other than that, I would definitely buy again.

Works well, but with MAJOR design flaws
The basic shaver does what it says, however, the trimming guards fall off constantly due to poor design it seems. I had to constantly keep my finger pressed over the back of the plastic to prevent it falling on the ground. Even then, I would have to reattach multiple times each use.
Additionally, I finally ended up smashing the hell out of the thing in a fit of annoyance when battery flaws rendered the damn thing too annoying to use. Let me explain:
1) the manual tells you not to leave it on the charger constantly and only charge it up until the red light on the adapter turns off. This is an annoying oversight; I mean should I really have to schedule my week to know when I want a charged appliance? Really?
2) the charge capacity is erratic. Sometimes I would pull it off the charger and have nothing, only to set it back in and see that it had no juice.
3) power control is occasionally non-functional. There were numerous incidents where the thing would turn on, but not off until I put it back in the charger or the battery ran down. Other times it would not turn on until a once-in quickly in the charger stand to reset it (apparently).
So, you may ask: why didn't I return it? Well, I like what it did when it worked, and there's not many alternatives, so I stuck it out, but it was never an enjoyable product, and it needs a major redesign. I gave it two stars, because it is not an abomination that cuts you or is otherwise dangerous, but it is not well conceived. If Philips makes a new version I will check it out in the store to see if these issues are resolved and give it another go.

Hope It Holds what it Promisses
In the past my ex shaved me below the belt (not much hair above) line three times a week silky smooth from base of my cock, scrotum, between thighs as well as up, in and around my bubble cheeks if my rear! I miss that now, because I won't trust a stranger (in for the nite) to do the job for me, all I know I might bleed to death....so am very excited and glad to have found this product, to finally trimm my own pubes, shave my own crotch, and specially my rear! silky smooth for that so very sensual hairless fell by touch! what I read was mostly positive, so I have hopes again.... Philips Norelco BG2020
Basically, this is a decent product with one major flaw.
The removable head falls out of place too easily.
With barely a touch, the removable head falls into the sink or onto the floor, and the removable film seperates from the razor. Now, you must reattach the film cover to the removable head, then, place it back into the "snap" position. Once you continue to shave, the removable head falls out of place again, even if you barely apply any pressure!
Norelco needs to design a removable head that is more firm.
This is a three star product-

Why?
This thing sounded great in the box and it has a great grip and battery life. However when you are shaving anywhere on your body the removable head just falls off and hits the floor. Ever since I bought it it seems as soon as it warms up the head pops off. Other wise smooth and close. I still use it but find it very frustrating and go back to my razor half-way through. In short great concept and styling but it functionally sucks. Tuesday, November 4th, 2008
