Simple and works great! Don't pay for technology!
I had an electronic studfinder that was a piece of junk. I ended up with holes all over my walls. I spent about $10 on a Stud-4-Sure magnet and it nails the stud every time! Lesson learned here is to keep it simple and save money. This magnet is much more powerful than your standard refrigerator magnet so it is well worth the pricetag. Monday, July 26th, 2010
simple and foolproof
Magnet is so strong I keep the thing on the wall wherever I want. Quality item meant to last, and priced right! Tuesday, July 20th, 2010
Better than an electric stud finder
I bought a cheap electric stud finder which was a huge pain. You have to hold it very steady and slide it smoothly otherwise it throws an error. Since most walls have some texture it can be hard. It said to put cardboard down over the wall to help it slide better but it didn't help. It was a very frustrating experience.
So I saw this stud finder and it has been amazing. You just do a little s-ing snake like movement and the strong magnet gets drawn to the stud nails and it just hangs there. The magnetism makes it very easy to find the stud cause it is drawn to it.

Works great!
Great addition to my toolbox! This little guy works great and is very easy to use. The only drawback I've found so far is when you're looking for beams in the ceiling. It locates the nails/screws but it can be hard to tell which direction the beams are going. Overall though this stud finder is so much more reliable than any of the previous electronic ones I've used. Wednesday, July 7th, 2010
Useless
This unit is really quite useless. Unless you like to waste time facing a wall while stupidly moving this thing around and around trying to locate a screw or nail embedded in the drywall. I have a 20 year old Zircon stud-finder which was falling apart, so I needed a new one. But even that still works better than this waste of money. Tuesday, July 6th, 2010
