Not as bad as anticipated!
First of all we love Amazon.com. These lights came in 2 days! My husband and I put them together; no missing parts and everything went together like it was supposed to. The only thing that wasn't quite clear was that the transformer has to be 10 feet away from the first light. We also spliced into the wire which was okay too. The lights are so nice across the front of our house (on both sides) and they automatically come on and off every night. Neighbors commented how nice they look. Little spotlights are nice too and can be adjusted to shine across your walkway. Would buy again!

good for backyard
just a quick review: the lights were easy to assemble, but because it's so many, it took about an hour. None of the plastic parts were broken or in bad quality unlike for some other reviewers.

With 100feet the cable is actually pretty long, but the first light has to be at least 13ft away from the transformer, so keep this in mind when thinking about the layout.

Also, everything is plastic, so it's not as nice looking as other metal lights, but serves its purpose for the backyard.

Another fact to consider: This transformer doesn't have a timer, it has the light sensor, so when it gets dark, the lights go on. There is actually the same set available with a timer instead. Or you can just buy one of those cheap timers and plug it in there.

Last, the lights on these will be nicer and more consistent than solar lights, especially if they are under bushes or anywhere solar lights won't get enough light to recharge.

Incredible Value
My only complaint could be too many lights? I didn't use them all. This set is great, effective as landscape or security lighting. Simple to use with a fool proof on/off timer. Very economical. Nice weather proof design. A bargain!

Good product, good price, one minor "gotcha"...
These lights work great and are a great price. However, with this many lights, it really should come with a higher voltage power pack and more cable. To keep the lights spread out at a decent distance from each other, I wound up adding an additional 100 feet of cable. After adding that, they were too dim. So I had to purchase a second power pack and split the load up. Of course, I was using them as a lawn perimeter. I suppose if you were placing them as just pathway lights, having each light only a few feet apart would work. I've just never been fond of the lights placed that close together.

These are perfect!!!
This set was SO EASY to put in and it all looks great. The connections are so much easier than the set I purchased somewhere else prior to this one and had to return it because it was a big pain in the neck to get working! Great buy! Can't go wrong.
