great for what you pay for
great sunglasses for the price. i went through about 9 pairs of these things when i was in iraq because they do get scratched up a lot going out on a tank every day, plus i gave away a couple pairs to my friends. but they are really dark, which is why i loved them, since iraq is located roughly thirty feet from the surface of the sun. you get what you pay for
They are cheap glasses and way to small for my head i ended up giving them to kids who think they are the sweetest glasses ever. The product was also shipped fast. Sunday, August 17th, 2008

alright if you like scratches
three pairs were scratched, one pair to the point that they were useless, but for the price who was i to complain? i won't be buying any more, that's for sure. i don't know who they are but another store will be getting my business Thursday, August 7th, 2008

Please read: Great Product but be CAREFUL!
You cannot get $100 glasses for $10. You probably cannot even get $50 glasses for $10. The best price you could ever get on glasses would be to buy from the manufacturer as a reseller.
So that's why I get a huge kick out of ratings that will pretend $3 glasses are $30 or even $100 glasses and rate them accordingly. No seller would forgo his profit margins to give you an out-of-this-world deal on sunglasses unless he was making some money off of it.
So with that in mind, lets look at the basics: You are getting three sunglasses for $10. That's about $3.33 each. They look good, no doubt. The mirror effect if you are looking at the glasses is complete. You will not, under any circumstances, be able to see the wearer's eyes. Wearing them at my job, I've had several people grab hold of my head and fix themselves up while looking at the glasses.
The look nice, especially for a pair of sunglasses that cost $3.33. Looks-wise, Five Stars.
But how about wearability? They may look stunning, but if you can't get them on your head, looks don't matter that much, do they? For a $3.33 pair of sunglasses, they seem pretty nice. On closer inspection, however, two out of the three pairs I received had sharp edges on the end that goes over your ear. Putting them on the first time, I got a nasty scrape on the side of my head. Didn't draw blood, but it was tender for the rest of the day and was certainly something I could have gone without. They are also darkly tinted, so much so that wearing them in anything other than a brightly lit environment will render the whole scene black. This may not be a problem with some people, but I, for one, like to wear my sunglasses inside as well as outside. It saves me time taking them off and putting them back in their case, and I just look better with them on. Not going to work with these glasses.
This part of the rating will get a three out of five.
And finally, durability. How well do the glasses stand up to normal wear and tear? Keep in mind, these are no oakley or bolle sunglasses. They are not impact resistant nor are they scratch proof. That would normally earn them a starting rank of two stars, if not one. But you have to rate the sunglasses like the product they actually are - glasses you got for $3.33.
So we cannot knock it for having those essential features. But what else can I rate then?
Well, after wearing a pair for a day, the nose bud fell off. I had the glasses in the included cloth case, and when I took them out, it was broken. So that's certain a case to make against these glasses. The plastic the glasses are made with is also kind of flimsy, so keep that in mind.
I've only worn them for a few days, and they haven't shattered, so I'll take that as a good sign.
Durability: four out of five.
To close it all up - Don't lie to yourself, you are buying cheapo sunglasses. Don't expect them to keep up with a very active lifestyle or look like $300 designer sunglasses. They aren't polarized and, to my knowledge, not UVA or UVB resistant (which could be a good thing - you actually tan better if you don't wear sunglasses compared to if you did, so wearing sunglasses without any kind of eye protection is like wearing none at all! ... all this at the expense of your eyes burning out, however).
Buy these if you're just looking for something to look good on you, or, like me, if you want sunglasses but don't want to bring your good ones to work where they could get scratched or damaged.
Don't buy these as a replacement for glasses designed to protect your eyes from the sun or as something that will stand up to a beating.

uncomfortable sunglasses
These sunglasses were pretty small and uncomfortable, plus the lengths of the sides are different. One side was really long. Wednesday, July 16th, 2008
