Billy Jealousy Hydroplane Shave Cream, 8-Ounce Bottle

I discovered Billy Jealousy at The Shave of Beverly Hills while trying out 4-5 new creams. Hydroplane stood out from the rest and I've been using it ever since. The Shave no longer carries it, so now I buy it on Amazon. It's also at Nordstrom.

What's great about it is that the lube never fades while on your face, so when you need to go over a rough patch again, you can just smear it around and shave away. Feels good. Smells good. I strongly recommend it!

I initially tried this product with a Mach-3 Turbo razor. Given the reviews and the price, the results were disappointing. I still experienced too much irritation on my neck to shave every day. Later, I tried it with a Panasonic wet-dry electric shaver and this seems like the perfect lube for that application. It doesn't make the electric shave any closer, but there is no irritation to my face or neck, and no build-up on the blades and foil.

It's expensive stuff and I don't like the smell. So how can I give it five stars? Because I don't get burned and my face doesn't break out. Totally worth the smell and the cost.

If I had to guess I would say the silicone base is responsible for all that is good and bad about this product. The only thing I've used that comes close to keeping my skin happy post shave is Anthony Logistics for Men Shave Cream. They're both superior products. Expect to pay extra.

Being a man that appreciates a good shave, I've quested for the best possible products to achieve just that. My quest is over. Billy Jealousy Hydroplane easily deserves 5 stars. Previously, I wasn't able to shave everyday without irritation. Now that I've found this line of products, it's actually enjoyable to shave. No ingrown hairs. No razor burn. No razor bumps. Combined with Billy Jealousy Hot Towel pre-shave, it's the only shave I've had that deserves 6 stars! Now, if only amazon.com would offer the ability to rate products above 5 stars.

I love this shaving cream. Throughout my shaving years, I've used dozens of shaving creams, gels, soaps, etc. and I love this the most. I don't get any irritation and the shave is so smooth and quick. I used it with the Billy Jealousy pre-shave treatment. Just combine the two in the palms of your hands and massage them into your beard. You'll get a great sensation and a smooth and effortless shave.
