My new favorite appliance
This is the second floor steamer I purchased. The Euro-Pro shark didn't work coming out of the box. I returned it after a firm dicussion with Customer Service indicating refund not exchange. Undaunted, I looked and the Bissell name was familiar to me. So I researched a little, (should have done that earlier) I decided to purchase. I am very pleased. It works very well, even gets the area around and behind the toilet. My cat doesn't like to be around when it is operating, but likes the nice warm, CLEAN floor it leaves behind. I like the no chemical method of cleaning. Saving money and saving the environment, what's not to love. I have just purchased a hand steam cleaner for the rest of my cleaning needs.

Totally disappointed
I took a chance on purchasing this mop considering the bad reviews, but there were more people that loved the mop than those that didn't. Well, I don't know what the 5-star people are doing, but I have had no success. After only a few passes, the floor is absolutely wet. And then the "clean" floor is sticky. Unfortunately, I waited a while before using it, so I can't return it. It will go to Goodwill.

Great for hardwood floors
I would have gotten rid of my swiffer wet jet months ago had I known that I could clean my hardwood floors without using any cleaners. We have a toddler and two dogs, so we have to clean the floors often. The steam mop works great. The only thing I would change is to give it a longer power cord. We have 1100 sq ft of hardwood to clean and I have to unplug about four times to get it all done.

Better than the original Bissell 1867
Originally I had the Bissell 1867 white steam mop but when we moved to Florida I gave it to my daughter since she had lots of Prego in her house. It was a big mistake. I thought since my kitchen floor was smaller now it would be easier to take care of. No way. On 10/6/08 I ordered the "Green Tea" Model 1867-7. Received it today and used it immediately. Wow, what a difference. The mop head on the green one is smaller then the white one but it swivels. I also found that pushing it wasn't as hard as the white one. Since I'm in my 70s I was pleased with the ease of movement. Quick to give steam, did a fantastic job on the kitchen floor, next the foyer tile and the bathrooms. The swivel head on this will make it much easier to clean around the toilets. The cord was long enough to cover my kitchen and the foyer if I wanted to. So glad I bought it.

Works Great even got dried paint off the floor
This mop works great. I have had it for a little over a year and finally really put it to the test this weekend. My wife had me clean the hall floors after the contractors left. They had left a few paint spots that had dried on the hard wood floors. There was also some small and one large spot from dropping Great Stuff (expanding foam). You don't know how hard that stuff is to get off anything till you used it. The paint and the smaller expanding foam spots came off. The larger spot shrunk to hald the size. Glad to see they didn't discontinue this item.
