Buying was a good decision
I did days of research before deciding to buy the Black & Decker D2030 Auto-Off Digital Advantage Iron. I used my last iron for 20 years and wanted to make sure a new iron would not only do a better job but be worth what I paid for it. I couldn't be happier with the D2030. The water reservoir for steam ironing is large so I don't need to refill often. The steam is strong and the spray works great. This iron is about the same weight as my old one. Ironing is faster now. I'm glad I took the time to read reviews on the D2030. They helped me decide to buy and that has been a very good decision! Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

Buy a T-Fal
Purchased the D2030 based on Consumer Reports and the reviews here on Amazon. Bought it on Sept 18, it was dead on Oct 31. Too late to return it to Amazon. Black and Decker will only replace it, no refund, AND it will cost me $7.50 to get the replacement. Its defective, in my opinion B&D should replace it free of charge. Specifically the digital circuitry has failed. The iron shuts itself off after using it for just a few minutes. Already had a T-Fal should have bought another. Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

Good, basic iron
This is a good, basic iron. The steam adjustment slips occasionally during use (it is very sensitive, and too close to the handle), but otherwise the iron works well. Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

Best Iron I've ever owned
This is, bar none, the best iron I've ever owned. It heats up quickly, is easy to read all of the controls, and best of all, even at lower temperatures it NEVER drips when using the steam. So many other irons I have used will spurt or leave drops of water on your clothes unless the temperature is at the highest settings but this one has been great. I bought it well over a year ago and it continues to work like it did the first day I bought it. It has a substantial weight to it that makes it press nicely but not so heavy that it's hard to use. I would definitely recommend it and when it eventually does need to be replaced (nothing lasts forever) I will buy another one just like it. Sunday, November 2nd, 2008

Fast and easy
Heats up fast, easy to hold, irons smooth, holds plenty of water for steam. It makes ironing go faster--all I could ask for. Sunday, November 2nd, 2008
