Chessex Dice: Pound of Dice (Pound-O-Dice) Approximately 100 Die

I was very pleased with the random assortment of dice I ordered. There were about 100 dice in a variety of colors and sizes, including one complete matched set that was self-contained in a small envelope inside the bag. The breakdown was about 25% d20s, 25% d10s, and 25% d6s, with the rest being a mix of mostly d8s, a few d12s, and 4 d4s. You get a lot of dice for the money and this is definitely a great way to start a communal dice pool for your group or just beef up your existing pool. I will probably end up ordering another one.

As people have said before, it's a pound of dice. Games From Dan shipped it a lot faster than I expected, and I had the dice pretty fast. My dice were:

d4: 6
d6: 34
d8: 16
d10: 26
d%: 2
d12: 7
d20: 19

A lot of my dice were duplicates. In only my d20s, I had four dice that were the exact same. Triples and doubles were also common among them. All in all, it's a great buy. I think I'll order another pound.

What can I say? It's a one pound bag of dice of various sizes, colors, and faces. Chessex is a great company that puts out a quality product and this was the best price I could find for this amount of dice.

I'll more or less echo what several others have said: it's definitely not random. You'll note that most of the reviewers who had a dearth of certain dice were short on d4s, d8s, and d12s. That holds true for me, as well. My breakdown (not including the complete set that comes with it):

d4s: 4
d6s: 43
d8s: 8
d10s: 39
d12s: 9
d20s: 11

All in all it's a good price, and shipping was nice and quick. In my case, though, I was trying to get dice for a group of new players I'm dragging into 4th Edition DnD, none of whom have any dice. I'm one d4 short of the 6 sets I need to give them each one. Oh well.

Roughly 1 in 8 of the dice in the assortment have a mediocre paint job.
Also, mine came with a lot of D20's, but not so many D4's and D12's.

Otherwise, this is an excellent assortment with some very beautiful and novel dice designs. Great for giving away as little prizes.
