Mattress pad was a great buy! I had already looked in all the typical stores that carry bedding and nothing came close to the quality and price. My new mattress is extra deep and this fit perfect. Would definately recommend.

It's is a very good quality pad. It looks nice too. I washed it and the pad didn't melt as other review said. But it does shrink a little bit after i washed it and used low heat as instructed. It doesn't fit my queen size matress very well now. I will buy another one and dry without heat.

I dunno about you but I'm doing my Christmas shopping early because I do not have the money to run out all over God's green earth. Anyway I picked this up for my brother and sister-in-law and I can't tell you how impressed I am with it. It is absolutely lovely. They have an older queen size bed and I know this will help smooth it out and make it much more comfy. I also picked up 2 sets of these pillows for them. And I can't tell you how much I appreciate that Amazon offers free shipping for all of this. It saves me time, money and gasoline. I have priced similar items at my local bedding stores and haven't seen anything that comes close to the quality and the price; even during white sales. Perhaps the reason for the unsatisfactory reviews is because the mattress toppers are being compared to other toppers from luxury linen stores and expensive department stores like Neiman Marcus or Saks. This is not a luxury department store though and should not be compared to them. (I would say the quality of Amazon bedding is very comparable to QVC, Fortunoff and is much better than anything Bamberger's tries to hock.) You know the saying, you get what you pay for? As far as this is concerned you get a lot more. BTW Amazon is incredibly fast (the 5-star-rating for this item has nothing to do what that, but I wanted to mention this incase you're a first-time buyer). I also made a purchase (a day before) from another e-commerce site for a like item and before that item was even shipped, this purchase from Amazon arrived. For a picky customer like myself, they have really surpassed my expectations.
