Ecover Automatic Dishwashing Tablets, 18-Ounce Box (Pack of 5)

I am really impressed with the Ecover Tablets. I haven't used dishwasher tabs before but I like how easy they are to use. It isn't messy and I always know how many dishwasher loads of cleaner I have left. The best thing is that it really works. Everything is cleaned and I don't have any film or powder on my dishes and glasses. I also like buying a five pack (boxes) of the Ecover at a time so that I have plenty on hand and can easily tell when I need to reorder. And I will definitely order more of Ecover Dishwashing Tablets.

We have been trying to become a more eco-friendly home over the last couple of years-but at the same time will not use a product if it does not work. These tablets have been working very well for my family. We have never had unclean dishes or residue left over, and our glassware has been spotless. We have been though two apartments also (where the dishwashers haven't been of the best quality) and the dishes were still clean. We always run a full dishwasher, but don't generally overfill, and we do pre-rinse stuck on food. But I will try to convert friends and family as this product does work and helps the environment.

I love that these dishwashing tablets are biodegradable and safer for the environment. But it DOES NOT work better than Cascade, which I've always used other than trying Electrosol one time. I am not going back to Cascade because there is a less harmful alternative, that works great (just not as great). I am just going to have to be more diligent about scraping the food bits off the plate. And no, I will not rinse each plate because it's water wasted. Although I will soak particulary gritty pans and plates.

I try to use Earth friendly products as much as possible. But I also want my dishes clean. That's why I have a dishwasher--I don't want to rewash them after they've been in there! I didn't have high expectations for these, but to my amazement, they clean better than any commercial brand I've used (Electrasol, Cascade among them.) I even tried to put Ecover to the test by putting a casserole dish in. It had massive baked-on food residue, but I did No pre-rinsing, and I left it in the dishwasher for several hours before I turned it on. It came out spotless!

My dishwasher is 10 years old, so I am really impressed with Ecover! The only thing I don't like is each tablet is wrapped separately. I know they do that so the product won't break down, but it just seems like such a waste to me.

This is an excellent product. I gave a box to my daughter & she was very happy with this product. Cleans very well & extra benefit is it is safe for the environment.
