FURminator Small Blue deShedding Tool with 1.75-Inch Edge

this is the 6th brush I've tried in a year. My neighbor had the smaller version and let me try it. Amazon had it the cheapest. My dog's coat feels like a puppies coat again!

I have a husky who sheds his undercoat twice a year. The first time he did this after we got him, it was a three week process of hair everywhere. We couldn't afford to get him blown out twice a year at $75 each time. That's when I found the FURminator. When he started shedding his undercoat, we simply used this tool for twenty minutes a day and after three days most of the shedding was done! We didn't have large furballs lying around our house anymore!

I use this tool 2x per week on each of our dogs - the other is a German Shepherd mix. We get so much hair out of her just using the FURminator for a short period of time that she sheds next to nothing now in between brushings! We have tried many other shedding tools on both the dogs and couldn't be happier than we are with the FURminator. Our family even argues over who is going to brush the dogs!

The Furminator works ok. I am happy with the purchase and only wish there were a better way to remove loose hair. The topcoat is not damaged in the process. My only complaint would be the plastic blade guard that does not stay in place

Really works well. Dog seems to shed less and my cat loves it. He is hacking up less hairballs. Thank you.

Is this the dream cat-grooming tool you've been waiting for? Yes and no. It does take off more hair than anything else out there. However, the video on the manufacturer's website is a best-case scenario.

My cat, a shorthair who seems to shed tumbleweeds of fur in his wake, hates the Furminator and will not hold still long enough for me to do a really good job with it. And if you watch the video, you'll see that they grab and stretch that cat's skin. My guy bolts when I try to grab him that way! In fact, no one I know using it on a shorthair says it takes off as much as it does in the video.

Our vet says that in his experience, cats with colorations like mine shed much more than average. I've had to stop wearing black clothes because kitty's white belly fur is just too hard to remove. The Furminator is a good and useful product, but I still won't be buying any sleek black clothing anytime soon.
