comfortable
I ordered a smaller size as suggested and the sandal JUST fits. The strap was snug, which was uncomfortable at first but has loosened up after a couple of weeks. I can't say that I'm getting a great work-out but the sole of this sandal is the most comfortable I've ever had. Thank goodness I had a coupon because I would never pay $50 for rubber sandals.

love these sandals
These sandals are soo comfortable!! I had to get used to wearing them, had blister on my toe at first, but I wear them more than any other shoe I have this summer. Love the way they look too. Plus my legs and bum muscles are getting stronger, firmer, too. First shoe I have ever worn that make my body happy. I look forward to walking with these sandals, true pleasure to walk now.
Great product!

wow
I had heard about these little babies from a friend in England - I had not heard all the rantings and ravings by Oprah or anyone else. I had little hope for them, but now I wear them all the time. My legs are toning and they are comfortable. My only complaint is that I would have preferred a little more understated design (I'm not keen on the gold/bronze straps), but all in all, I would recommend these.

"Get a workout while you walk."

First off, I have to say that they're not as pretty as in the picture -- regardless of size, they will look big in relation to your foot and the colors aren't as crisp as photographed. But they're not ugly.

What primarily attracted me to these FitFlops is the promise of the workout. It's supposed to trim your legs, increase *gluteal* muscle response, improve your balance and posture, burn calories... Not sure about all those claims, but I guarantee it will make your calves sore if you use them the entire day the first time you try them. Use them "progressively" they warn, because your muscles need to get used to the new way they are being exercised while you walk.

They are comfortable for casual use -- the soles are thick and the material has the right balance of softness / firmness.

I wouldn't recommend them as a fashion item, but they're definitely an improvement over rubber flip-flops.

wide foot?
I've got a wide foot (from going barefoot too many years). I found these shoes to be much too narrow. There was no width choice. I thought maybe if I wore them around enough they would stretch out, but apparently they're too well made. They won't stretch out (good news for some, but not for me). So I wasted my money.
