If you're looking for something "extra" to take out that static cling in the winter, then try these. I wish they were unscented because that perfume smell can get a little strong, but other than that, we use these a ton. I use these along with a liquid softener because I don't think that singley, either one of them do the job on static. But together, they do a great job of controlling static. Highly recommend!

I have used Bounce fabric softener sheets for many years now with great satisfaction. As Amazon correctly notes, they help to make the clothing and anything else like towels in the clothes dryer much, much softer and they reduce static cling remarkably well. The scent is not too heavy--just enough to give your clothing a fresh, newly washed scent to it. It shouldn't overwhelm you at all.

Although people say just throw one in at the top of the clothing just before you start the clothes dryer, I myself find one sheet or even two to be insufficient. I use about five or six sheets per wash because I like my clothing extra soft. Just throw in a sheet after you place a bunch of clothing into the dryer; and after you place more clothing in the dryer add another sheet, and so on. This method would be rather important for anyone with sensitive skin, too.

Bounce advertises on the box that you can use them to add a fresh scent or take away foul odors in places like a dresser drawer, a garbage can and even a sneaker or two. However, I cannot comment on this because I have only used them in my dryer.

There are definitely two issues, however: Don't use this product when drying anything that is flame resistant. It WILL reduce the flame resistance of the clothing. Moreover, if you are rather sensitive to any type of perfumed scent you almost certainly want to use another type of fabric softener in your clothes dryer. In addition, I personally have to use more than one or two sheets to get my clothes as soft as I want them to be. Unfortunately, I have to take off one and one half stars for this to make this a three and one half star review.

Overall, these bounce fabric softener sheets are a good product because all too often the dryer leaves your clothing feeling "hard" or even somewhat "scratchy" up against your skin. The fabric softener sheets are packaged in small boxes to make them easy to carry if you need to travel to use a laundromat, too.
