Newman's Own« Organics Dog Treats, Medium Sized, Peanut Butter, 10-Ounce Bags (Pack of 6)

These are hard to find and the pack of 6 is a good deal. We actually have 3 Great Danes and a German Pointer. 2 of the Danes are pups and pay attention very well while being schooled IF and only if I have these cookies or real meat. No other training treat works like this. I order the small size (yes for Great Danes) because they are perfect size for a training reward. Here are the ingredients: Barley Flour, Ground Chicken, Carrots, Apples, Rolled Oats, Canola Oil, Flax Seed, Sesame Seed, Sunflower Seeds, Natural Peanut Flour, Natural Flavor. (Certified Organic).
I mean come on - that is excellent stuff. They smell good too. Sometimes walmart will carry the cheese ones but peanut butter trumps them all!

My dachshund is very picky and spoiled. She will eat these from time to time but usually buries them outside.

My dog has a sensitive stomach and isn't particularly food-driven, however, he seems to go crazy for the cheese flavored Newman dog treats and they don't mess with his stomach.

I give him one each night when it's time to "kennel up" and as soon as he sees me reach for the bag, he races for his kennel before I have even give the command. Success!

It's important to note that they are corn and wheat free (great for dogs with allergies), and don't have a strong odor that will rub off on your hands.

Our dog has never been motivated by food/treat. And she refuses Milkbones - has a neat trick of dropping them in the wastebasket when the carwash guy gives them to her. But she'll stand next to her treat bowl when she knows they've been filled with Newman's Peanutbutter cookies. Loves them. So glad Amazon carries them so we can now purchase them in bulk.

I have two small dogs and they have trouble digesting most of the treats I find at the store. Either the biscuits are too big or are coated with something that doesn't agree with the dogs' stomach.

This was the first dog treat we found that the dogs wouldn't throw up. And, if cuteness is important to you, the heart-shaped treats fit the bill.

When I want my dogs to come in from the backyard I simply have to shake this bag and immediately there are sitting on the back porch waiting for a Newman's snack.
