HoMedics SC-400 Glass LCD Digital Scale

This scale is exactly what I was looking for, simple, sleek and accurate. It replaced a homelier body mass scale that was mainly used for weight anyway. Very nice.

We wanted a new scale to compliment our beautiful new bathroom, something elegant and unobtrusive - and this one is perfect. It seems to be very accurate so we could not be more pleased!

If looking for a standard weight scale, it is accurate to the doctor's office, steady with no fluctuations, and very attractive.

Bought this about a month back. A couple of points to note:
1) You should not use this on a carpet. Use it on a solid flat floor. Maybe seems obvious.
2) The weight readings are very consistent. However I noticed one strange thing: Since this machine switches ON when you stand on it, one of the times I was weighing myself, I must have stood up on it really fast and it showed my weight about 2 kgs (~ 4.5 lbs) more than what it actually was. Then I waited for it to turn off, stepped on it once more and it was ok. Then I repeated that a couple of times and it was fine. Strange!

Sometimes I feel the analog weight scales are more reliable and durable but I didnt find any with a good review here on Amazon.

I did alot of reserach before selecting this product. I received it quickly and started using it the same day. This is a very good scale. The glass platform is large enough and the dispay is easily readable. My best friend purchased one today to weigh baggage for travel. It looks nice in the bathroom and overall I am very happy with it.
