Charcoal Fuel Holders
This is the professionals way to control temperature in the BBQ pit for indirect cooking. Friday, August 29th, 2008

Big Basket - Only need to use half.
I recently bought theses baskets and I've cooked ribs with them twice. I have a standard Weber kettle and these baskets are probably a little too large for it. I used both halves the first time I cooked and ended up cooking my ribs too quickly because they created so much heat. The second time I only used one half of the basket and I was able to cook the ribs much slower. They turned out great this way! Friday, August 1st, 2008

Great Product!
For charcoal enthusiasts, this is a must-have. I use to set up my indirect grilling by using tongs to move the charcoal to one side of the grate, but always had problems since the mound would be uneven. With these, it's easy to set up indirect grilling and keep the zones perfectly placed. It's simple to tell where the indirect grilling ends and the direct begins. One thing I do go get both baskets lit is to start off with them pushed together in the center of the grate and set the chimney starter on top. Once the coals are burned down and hot, pour the coals so that they flow into each basket. Then use tongs to push the baskets to separate sides of the grill. Works much better than trying to light two individual baskets and waiting for them to burn down. Also, use two thermometers - one over the coals and another over your indirect grilling space. Typically, with a full basket, the area over the coals will get to about 600 degrees, but the indirect area stays at an awesome 350! I couldn't be happier with my new grilling accessory. Along with a chimney starter, these are my grilling 'must-haves.' Don't know why I ever grilled without them! Thursday, June 19th, 2008

Works to well to not have
I was a little skeptical as to what good these would be as opposed to just moving the charcoal to the sides, but try them once and you will see.
You can move your entire fire to where ever you need it in the grill at any time while your cooking.
Load em up and put em where you want them.
Slide one to each side for indirect cooking or move back together in the middle for direct cooking.
And you would still have the perimiter around the baskets if they are in the middle to keep stuff warm.
Handy little gadget!
