Honeywell HW-628 Twin Window Fan

This is a nice unit that moves a lot of air for its size.
The small fan motors spin pretty fast so its a bit noisy on high.
On the plus side there's the small size, 3 speeds w reverse, and some
dandy little clips that lock the expansion panels in place.
I'd recommend this fan with a caveat for the noise.

It just didn't have the umph I needed. Might be good for a small space, but I just didn't notice a lot of air flow.

This fan is so great. I do not know where I would be without one. We are in the midst of a 15 day heat wave with temps in the high 90's. At night I turn on the fan and it cools my room quickly, it works better than my central air...

I am quite happy with this fan, as it does an excellent job in cooling the room in which it is placed. I have not been able to get the themostat functionality working, however, as the fan remains on for the entire night.

One other thing I found difficult was adjusting the side screens. I needed assistance in holding the fan up to determine how much to pull the screens out and to lock them in that position. This was only a minor issue, as the screens need only be adjusted once.


This window fan works much better in cooling a room than an oscillating fan. I recommend the Honeywell HW-628 Twin Window Fan.

I love this fan. With the thermostat, it puts out cool air even on very warm days. Fits easily into window and looks nice. I am very pleased
