Klean Kanteen Stainless Steel Water Bottle with Poly Loop Cap (27-Ounce)

Just what I was looking for in a water bottle. I use it all the time!

I used to reuse plastic water bottles, recycling them when they got too beat-up or dirty. I figured it was time to switch to something more durable, so I looked at Sigg and Klean Kanteen products. I went with the Klean Kanteen (27 oz.), and have been very happy with it. It's a durable bottle, and holds enough water for a day at work.

I really like the wide mouth of the Klean Kanteen. It's big enough to put ice cubes in, and makes cleaning it with a regular bottle brush a snap. This was a big selling point for me over the Sigg, which wants you to buy a special bottle brush and cleaning tablets along with your bottle.

Please note that these bottles are not insulated, so if you put cold beverages in them, there will be condensation on the outside of the bottle. However, it seems to me that the Klean Kanteen creates less condensation than plastic bottles.

I so wanted to love this product, however it is simply defective, and the company will not even reply to my kindly notices and complaints. You'd think that not much could go wrong with such a basic design, but the lid continually leaks. Their so-called "customer service" refuses to even reply to my many e-mails. I am a very disappointed buyer.

My advice is that you DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM KLEEN KANTEEN.

After I heard all the plastic water bottle issues, I decided to get something safer. I went to a aluminum bottle I bought at Old Navy, but quickly returned it when I realized it didn't have any information on it.

I decided to get the Klean Kanteen 27 ounce with poly cap. Its very hard and I love carrying it around. My only knock on it is that it does sort of give off a "metal-like" smell or taste. Its no where nears overwhelming, but its noticeable. I tried pouring the water out of it into a cup to see if I could taste it... but didn't really. I think its just a smell I am getting.

This is a good water bottle, the 27 ounce is a perfect size for me... and its stylish.

It holds water very well, doesnt leak at all. When drinking directly from canteen a slight metal taste is noticed but it is not that offensive.
