60's soul is back
With the sound and recording techniques and the strong voice of sharon jones the 60's motown feel is back. I didn't live through that time but spent my very young youth with no siblings and old records for company so musically almost feel of that time and i have to say sharon jones hit the nail on the head. Where a song like "rehab" by amy whinehous (backed by the dap kings, the same band that backs jones here) uses the instrumentation and "wall of sound" technique it doesn't grasp that old feel. This sounds like Sharon Jones could have been in the original motown lineup yet (for me atleast) is refreshing and new in it's presentation .
At the moment this is a free download (and has been for a while) so you have nothing to lose.

She's Got Soul
Enjoyable, soulful, R&B band reminiscent of the 60's.
Thank you Amazon for this free song.

Refreshingly Retro
This is the only item of any kind that I've ever gotten for free that was worth money. I bought an album after listening to this song because I wanted to pay for "100 Days, 100 Nights". The album was great too, and now I'll just have to buy another. This is by far my most healthy addiction.

100 Days,100 Nights of Pleasure
Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings are bringing soul back in their joyous "100 Days,100 Nights." Jones has the same backing band as the infamously troubled Amy Winehouse- albeit without the attendant baggage.

"100 Days,100 Nights" is Southern-fried soul. It has a driving rhythm, seducing the listener. Jones' passionate vocals show that she's worthy of being the Queen of Soul, taking up the mantle of Aretha Franklin or Patti Labelle. It's delicious, like jambalaya with cornbread. There's also jazzy sophistication. One can imagine Jones belting out her songs at the Apollo. "100 Days,100 Nights" leaves the listener hungry for more. 100 Days,100 Nights... takes stamina and endurance. It's worth it!

Not bad
Not a bad song. But the only reason I "bought" it was because it was free. At this point, I don't think it'll inspire me to purchase the rest of the album. But I do like this song. Nice retro sound.
