This is a beautiful acoustic song! Rather upbeat for such a sad subject as murder. Can't wait to check out more music by The Avett Brothers.

I think this song was well written & well sung, it's beautiful! I am amazed at the fantastic quality of many of the free downloads that are offered by amazon!

This guy (is it Scott or Seth on this track?) has a great voice and the brothers have good songwriter sensibilities. Completely acoustic, this track shows no hint of the rock-and-roll background they started out with. Would be worth listening to even if not free, and makes me curious to get some of their other tunes to see how they sound.
