Texas Instruments TI-NSpire Math and Science Handheld Graphing Calculator

This is a great product. It is working well for my daughter as she is taking an honors Algebra II course. The seller was also great.

My son's school uses the TI-84 but the NSpire is well worth the difference in price because it comes with the TI-84 system as a removable module. It is like having two graphing calculators.

NOTE: Because the modules are self-contained you can NOT transfer data between the TI-84 module and the TI-NSpire module.

I don't use it - this calculator was purchased for my high school freshman in Advanced Honors math. (I don't think I have any clue how to work this thing). It's what the school requires, and my honor student is learning how to use it. He's enjoying it, and he'll get many years of use from it.

It was highly recommended by my son's school that we purchase this calculator for him to use in math class. I was less than thrilled when I saw the cost of this type of calculator. I did find however that it was much more reasonable on Amazon.com than in the stores (as usual). My son absolutely loves this calculator and I am glad we bought it for him. It is amazing what this little machine is able to do! My only negative comment would be that after three weeks of use, the batteries have already died. He has used it everyday though, and because he enjoys some of the drawing features on it, he has been using it outside of school as well. All in all, a great product. I would recommend it to anyone that needs to purchase a graphing calculator.

Because of two differnt keypads, it can be useful for everybody.
A lot of Calculus book has problem solving procedures for TI84 calculator and you can use TI84 keypad to follow the book.
The other keypad would be useful when you get more familier with this calcualtor for more advanced mode usage.
