Too Soft to the Touch

I ordered this as a replacement for the original keyboard that came with my Mac G5. My old keyboard was full of dust and crumbs that I couldn't clean out no matter how I tried. I actually returned this item and ordered a keyboard from a different manufacturer. It is too hard to feel the keys under my fingers on the Apple keyboard. I'm not a super fast typist, so perhaps that is part of the problem, but the keys are so close to the foundation of the board that it was not comfortable to me. It looks great though!

Apple Keyboard
Amazing product. Rejects dirt, looks great, functions perfectly - no sticking keys, nimble to the touch, iTunes control is really convenient.

very nice
very nice keyboard. extremely thin yet has held up well to extended use. it has two usb ports, one on each side. other than that, not much else to say other than it looks good with whatever mac set up you have!

Minimalist Keyboard, Keys Too Smooth
This keyboard has only the minimum number of keys. The function keys double as volume, shut down, sleep, open CD, and such keys. Pain in the neck. There are no other keyboards that don't have dedicated keys for all these needs.

My biggest problem is the smoothness of the keys and that their wide flat surface has almost no gap between the keys. Most keyboards have cupped surfaces on the keytops with twice the space between the keys, not these. My fingers slide all over the place. I never know where my fingers are. If you are a better typist, that may not bother you, but if you drift off the home keys ever, then you will be lost at sea with this keyboard as you will always be slip sliding away.

This keyboard is small. My desk's keyboard tray has a 1/4" raised edge along the front to keep things from slipping off. Just right for resting the heal of my hands on when thinking of the next thing to type. This little keyboard sits so low that I would have to remove it to reach the keyboard. It's that much smaller than a standard keyboard.

I gave this keyboard to my son who says it is great to play WoW with. WoW remaps all the keys so the key functions are all different in the game.

So there you have two opinions. By the way it is a pretty little thing.

Apple Keyboard
I've used other PC keyboards, including the semi-curved MS keyboard, and this Apple keyboard is the easiest, soft touch and tactile product I've used, yet. It's lightweight and, yet, has a very solid feel to it. Put it on your lap or on your desk, it's the best I've used.
