Samsonite Converter/Adaptor Plug Kit with Pouch, Charcoal Grey

My daughter moved to England in April and was concerned about using her personal electrical items there. After checking around on the Internet, we chose the Samsonite Converter/Adaptor to send with her. She is very pleased with the performance of the converter and has had no problems.

It blowed up on it's first use. It claims up to 1600 Watt, but cannot even use with a 100 watt speaker.

Don't buy it!!!

Terrible product. Burnt out my daughter's hair straightener (even though it's within the wattage listed on product) and ruined my phone charger, too. Luckily Amazon is a great company and sent me back my money.

DON'T buy this set. It looks very handy and complete but it is completely defective. It did work on the hair dryer, but scared me because it made it glow inside, and I was afraid it would burst into flames at any moment.

I bought this because it came with all adapters and a converter, expecting to be able to plug all of my things in over seas. But when I got it, I read the package which tells me not to plaug in any electronic equipment, such as cameras or battery chargers. Bummer.

This is a very useful product. I was able to use it during my trip in UK, Spain and France. It worked. Actually it says in the instructions, not for use with electronics :-). But I was able to use it on my laptop computer, and I also used it to charge my digital camera and camcorder. Probably it depends on the wattage of your equpiment. I didn't have any problem with it. Great!
