Samsung BD-P1500 1080p Blu-ray Player

Did a lot of research before buying this model and am Glad I did.Works really great with Blu-Ray movies and even my regular DVDs look awesome as well.Like the front control buttons instead of the top like my last player so it works really well in a tight spot when stacking over another unit in cabinet.Other units sell for a lot more and dont have the ethernet port or the usb ports.Would definately buy again and the Shipping was Really Fastttttt ...

The player worked for 15 minutes then nothing. Would not play any disk after that. Also, player was very hot to touch on the bottom. Tried everything to restore, nothing worked. I have read many problems with this player. I would not buy at any price. Buy the names you know are good at this time, Blu-ray is still coming together.

Some of the features that I like include the low price, simple operation, no fan noise, and it is stackable with no buttons on the top. This is my first blue ray player and it works fine. I would buy another one if I needed one.

As a technophobe, I ordered this baby with a little trepidation. But my worries were in vain. The ease of set-up and operation was/is fantastic. Downloading the "firmware" update via USB port (modem to player) was easy too. And the improvement in picture quality! Wow! I watched "Then She Found Me" (my first Blu-ray disc purchase) and was astounded. The details! The vibrant colors! The wrinkles! And all this on a 37" screen. The difference is simply amazing. And this machine actually up-converts all my standard DVDs, just as advertised. For under $200, this was one of my best ever purchases. Thanks Samsung. You've gained a customer.

This is a great player. I don't see the need to go up to the 2.0 format for normal use. It just adds more memory and an ethernet connection.
