Samsung LN52A550 52-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV

I was sceptical in the begining about ordering such a expensive item from Amazon but was I wrong. TV arrived on time and in perfect condition. The Samsung 52 inch lcd is a monster of a tv. We couldnt be happier. Thank you AMAZON!!!!!!

I purchased this TV through Amazon about a month ago and love it. After I made a few adjustments to the picture it was ready to roll with my DISHtv setup. Super quick white glove delivery.

I sit about 11 feet away from the screen and cannot see any artifacts while viewing HD content. The sound (as others have stated) on the tv is pretty bad. This is not an issue for me since I always use my home theater setup for sound.

This is hands down the best method to buying a TV. Why go to BB or CC and pay more?

I couldn't be happier with my new Samsung. Awesome picture, easy to use, very flexible on inputs, etc. The delivery from Amazon was excellent as well. The driver set up the TV and removed the packaging...all in all an outstanding experience.

I needed a TV when I moved to my new apartment and wanted to replace a 50in Samsung DLP that I had sold. I saw this on Amazon and decided to take the plunge and buy it. It has lived up to my expectations. The pictures are great. I only rarely see pixelation on dark screens. One time I did notice some weird screen door artifact when watching the MTV video awards show in HD (there were crazy flashing lights and a lot of camera panning during the scene). The audio isn't great but it is sufficient until I save up for a good surround sound system. Otherwise I'm happy with the TV.

I was however disappointed in Amazon. I noticed a few days after getting the TV that the price had dropped. This continued to fluctuate, reaching a low of $110.00 less than I had paid for it (within 2 weeks of my purchase). I called Amazon about it since they have a 30 day price protection guarantee that I've used in the past. They-- meaning their call center in India-- told me a policy they had for years was discontinued just 2 weeks before I bought my TV. She was rude and hung up on me. I emailed their customer service and eventually got part of the price difference back, but it was a hassle to deal with them-- very unlike my experience in the past. So, I still recommend this TV, but if you want to buy it on Amazon, I would definitely wait and watch because the price fluctuates a lot...

I am not an expert on TVs. I did research on Consumer Reports and the Amazon website and other websites. This TV got very high marks. I also visited other forums to get the proper settings to adjust the audio and video.
I think this TV provides excellent performance, but I do have enough experience in televisons to comment on technical issues. We are quite happy with the picture.
I can say that buying this TV was much more pleasant than dealing with Best Buy or Circuit City. At BB and CC there is so much pressure to buy the extended warranty, overpriced cables, set-up charges etc. The salespeople at BB and CC might not be on commission, but I know for a FACT that those salespeople who sell the most extended warranties get more hours and more "rewards". The people at Amazon were easy to deal with and knowledgeable.
Delivery was very smooth and hassle free. Very good communication with Ceva, the delivery people. They were prompt, neat, and a pleasure to work with. I was initially hesitant to buy a large TV from Amazon, but now I will never hesitate to buy a similar product from Amazon. The price from Amazon was $400 less than the local CC store, and $200 less than the CC website ( which the local CC was reluctantly willing to match). No sales tax and no delivery fee saved me another $200. So I saved $400 right off the top. Combined with the zero pressure and easy delivery and buying from Amazon made a ton of sense.
