Sharp Aquos LC32GP1U 32-Inch 1080p LCD Gaming HDTV

I ended up getting this locally due to another reviewers advice about shipping policies. The TV itself is great. Honestly, 32" is fine for my apt, and I'm happy to have made the purchase.

One thing that I'm really impressed with is the audio performance. I was surprised at how well the simulated surround sound (i.e. surround sound with only the speakers on the tv) worked in my apartment. With the accoustics in the room being terrible, it still sounded right. Its not as good as true surround, but it you don't want wires all over the place, consider this.

Read the beach audio shipping and return policies carefully, they do not accept returns on tv's 20" or larger for ANY REASON.

The picture is simply stunning. There is simply NO reason to spend more money on any TV this size. It doesn't get any better than this. So don't bother shopping around, do yourself a favor and just get a Sharp Aquos from Amazon.com.

I just got this TV 3 weeks ago, and so far I'm not disappointed. I have it hooked up to my PS3, and the picture is beautiful. And the tv itself is very stylish. I'd heard some bad things about the sound, but - its not that bad. Granted a sound system would of course make it much better, but for what it is I'm happy (that said I will probably be buying a sound system in the future for it).

The 1080p, while not noticeable from a few feet away, is noticeable if you're close. And I play my games fairly close due to the layout of my room, so for me the 1080p is a plus. If you sit farther away, I don't know if I'd recommend it on a TV of this size.

I don't know how well the Vyper drive works. I have my PS3 plugged into it, and there is no lag or anything, but ... I don't know that there would be lag without it either. Nice to have I suppose. I like the game button on my remote. :)

Only complaint is that I have 1 stuck pixel now. I'm not taking any stars off because its only 1 pixel, and its a fairly common problem on LCD tvs. I'll probably be hooking the TV up to my computer and running some corrective software soon (note that its a STUCK, not a DEAD pixel. That means its fixable).

To conclude: If you want a "small" 1080p tv, this is the way to go. Its my dream tv (32'' is perfect for me and I really wanted 1080p). It looks great (both the picture and the tv), and as for the sound - you get what you pay for, which is not horrible. However, if you won't be up close to the TV I'd recommend saving some money and going for a 720p.

Except for sound volume, this product met all my expectations. All modes from 480i to 1080p work great. Menu is friendly. No issues at all.
