Customer Reviews

Super Impressed
We did a lot of research online and read tons of customer reviews before we bought this tv and we couldn't be happier. The Sharp Aquos was very easy to set up and the picture is amazing. We've heard the mentions about the sound not being great, but we have a surround sound system so that isn't a concern at all. Friends with plasmas have come over and been overwhelmed by the awesome picture...they described it as almost 3D. We'd recommend this to all of our friends.

Nice Tv
This TV has been working fine so far.
Pros:
-Good picture quality.
-Very Easy to use menu driven user interface.
-Option to set up Favourite Channels in the remote control.
-Slim design
Cons:
- Many times it skips channels when you change channels thru the remote control.
-The button on remote for changing channels and volume are very small.
-Slow when changing channels.
-Slow scanning of channels (one time deal)

I have a question for the Sharp users, after the initial scan of Analog/Digital Channels my Sharp picks up the digital channels thru its internal ATSC tuner I beileve ike (4.1, 13.5 etc),I don't have a comcast box only the cable going directly to the TV, however it has many blank channels also in between and I don't know how to get rid of them as I have to keep going thru the channels by pressing +/- on remote until I find some channel that has some content in it. Normally scanning (automatic tuning) would take of that I believed but that is not the case here. Any advice from any of the experts would be appreciated.

Great gaming Flat Panel
I work in the video games industry and wanted a 1080P unit for the den to hook in my Xbox360 and PS3 systems. So far, so great!

I have not seen the problems mentioned on its big brother the 52D64u.

If the is a minor downside, is the stand raises the panel by 5 inches, so the set is higher than desired.

Great tv
i did'nt buy this tv from amazon. im just a normal user looking for a tv that should put out a very good picture for the years to come. i only paid 1,400 and it came with a free sharp aquos blue ray player. the tv is exellent halo 3 is 1080P is just fine. i was reading some reviews and they said you can have a "game setting" set up option i can't find it. it still looks out standing after some tweaking. Blue ray make famous people look normal...i don't like it i thought we were always lower then them lol...i was debating to get this set or a phillips or pioneer but with those sets being 100 more and a free blu ray player i had to get it. disapointed that there are only 2 component and one of them is on the side. i don't want to spent the money on hdmi chords. have seen no banding or dead piexels but to be honest haven't been looking for any dead ones. i am very happy with this set just wished it had ambient lighting like phillips
