Poorly written
Mr. Hawk's style in this "short" annoys me. He uses incomplete, choppy and disjointed sentences. This might not bother me in a lecture setting, but in print, it's distracting. It reads as if someone transcribed a short pep-talk, including the spoken "Thank you" at the end. The information given is sloppily offered. The author (or speaker) switches between first, second, and third person much too casually. I would give the piece zero stars instead of one, except that it's true one should tell an interviewer that one can think and focus. But it's not worth the cost of paper and ink to print it, and the little bit I paid to find that out was also wasted.

Confidence Booster
I just read Four More Things To Say To The Interviewer To Get The Job You Want, and you know, it makes a lot of sense. Whenever I've gone into an interview I fret about everything---my outfit, my hair, how much eye contact to make and of course what to say!
Now I realize the key to a good interview is to project the attitudes, values and habits that successful companies are looking for. The writer really spelled it out well in his short. I already feel more focused and interview ready and I think I'll get his original book for more tips. Anything I can do to boost my confidence when I go for a job seems like a good idea!

To the point
I like this guy's style; he doesn't fool around or waste words.
His stuff is hard hitting and insightful, After reading the Four More Things, I could kick myself for the number of times I've made the now I know, major goof of just reciting my resume during an interview---ouch!
I like the tips he gives about how I can define who I am and highlight my best qualities with just a few words and well chosen phrases. That way the interviewer will quickly get the impression I can do the job.
I've already read Hawk's 25 Things to Say to the Interviewer to get the Job You Want, and it gave me tremendous on-the-job confidence. I used what I learned from it and successfully hit my boss up for a raise!
I know when I make my next career move I'll ace the interview.
Great book!
