Shining Through the Slush

A great piece of writing with lots of ideas put together. As the description says, this is not about how to write a good book (though there are some hints), but about how you effectively take the books to the hands of the readers (through the editors and agent of cause). I like his view: "Professional writing is a business and businesses are looking for non-commodity products.". There are enough guidelines on how to distinguish your piece of work and effectively bringing the book to the market.
