Great Player!
I looked at all the reviews before I bought this and I can tell you, the picture is great, really clear, i love the moving screen and the volume is perfect. We actually have it around 3/4 of the volume and it is loud. Full volume would be too loud! Most other units i read about said the volume was one of the biggest problems because they were so quiet and could hardly be used w/o head phones-not this one! ALSO>>>TO MOUNT THE UNIT IN YOUR CAR...I bought the "PDVK -10 7 inch to 10 inch IN CAR Portable DVD case" off amazon for $19.99 and it is a great way to let the kids watch in the car!

"Class 1M Radiation" is a required label for the laser in all DVD players
A previous user wrote that this player is somehow dangerous because it has "Class 1M Radiation". That review is an over reaction.

"radiation" can refer to any energy source (light, heat, radio waves, etc) and does not mean the product contains plutonium (or kryptonite or americium for that matter).

In this case, it refers to light. Class 1M is assigned to low power lasers like those found in every CD and DVD player - it must have a laser (or laser-like) light source to work.

The warning label is required by the government for any product containing a laser. If you find a product that has a laser and does not have the label, you should be suspicious that it is counterfeit or the manufacturer does not intend to comply with US laws.

This product is no different, and no more hazardous, than any other DVD or CD player.

Class 1M Radiation
I bought this because it looked high quality, then at the back of the DVD player when i took it out of the box says it has Class 1M radiation. They don't put that on the retail box, because it would lose money, but they put it on the bottom of the DVD player so they are not legally accountable. That means that if you have glasses, the laser is invisible and will go right into your eye, amplified, and damage it. I don't know about you but i don't want radiation in my eyes, I'm getting rid of this junk.

Great sound and image!
The price is right and this DVD player is easy to use and set-up. The buttons are easy to reach and self-explanatory. The image is large and clear and the sound can be turned up pretty loud. There was a slight distortion in claritiy if it was too loud, but all-in-all, this is a great DVD player. The only thing I would like better is if they sold this as a dual screen set so they can be mounted on the back of the headrest (when traveling in the car). Kept the kids entertained during a 5 hour trip, making for a more enjoyable ride!
