Sony DVP-FX930 9-Inch Portable DVD Player, Black

We purchased this dvd player so our 20 month old could watch videos on a cross-country flight and long car rides. It was a lifesaver! The long battery life lasted the entire flight, the swivel screen is very handy, and best of all - you can lock the buttons! Nice big screen too.

This is a piece of junk and died after 3months. I have bought 2yr extended warranty. They said that the product is under manufacturer's warranty, so I have to call regular Sony manuacturer's division. I have to ship it to Laredo TX and I need to pay for the shipping and the labor. Most probably I have to $33 for replace and shipping. I paid $180 for unit and $15 for 2 years ext warranty and then $33 for a refrubished unit. I am not sure how long that refurbished item works. So I decided NOT to BUY sony product again.

I love this DVD player. I am deaf and it is hard for me to go to movies. I also take trips with my family on trains that show movies. but since I can't go upstairs to see the films, I use a wheelchair. this is perfect to use on a train. The volume can be turn up enough and the console is very stable. So all in all I think this is great.

Best portable DVD player my kids ever own. Great pictures, built very strong, and easy for the kids to use. I highly recommend this product.

We used the DVD player on a 10 hour trip. It kept our 10 yr old and 19 month old entertained the whole time. Worked great. Battery lasted exactly the 6 hours it said it would. Then we plugged it in. Highly recommend getting this for long rides with kids. We will never go without it!
