Sony DVP-NS57P/B Progressive Scan DVD Player, Black

I was looking for a good quality DVD player selling at a good price. Did I get a real winner. The Sony DVP-NS57P/B Progressive Scan DVD Player was perfect. Amazon's delivery was flawless and the unit was easy to set-up and worked like a charm. I do not yet have a wide/flat screen TV, so I didn't want to invest a lot of money in case the unit would not be compatible. I have used it for several weeks without a problem - just three clicks and the money is up and running. And, the slow fast forward is new for me and allows you to see the action not simply jump to the next section. At $50 this is a steal.

Just bought this player and it might be fine but it doesn't have the TOS link that is mentioned in the specifications so we need to send it back :(

Seems to play anything I put in it (regardless of how badly it may be scratched up), so no complaints there. Not sure if all the dvd's only play in widescreen (which I hate) but so far not a one has played in fullscreen. Have tried all different configurations in the menu...maybe it's the dvd's themselves. Not a bad buy for $50 though. It'll hold me over until I'm ready to shell out some real cash for an upgrade. Overall, I like it.

Good choice, nice fit with our need. Quick delivery and no problems. Works great! Attractive packaging and modest footprint. Not much more to tell!

We bought this DVD player because its advertised as being a Multi Region DVD player and even on the Amazon site it sais it plays NTSC and PAL.

Well... it doesnt.. it is a Region 1 DVD player only, PAL is not being played in this.

What a waste of time and money!
