It's sad to hear people compare the original with this remake, especially since most of the fans for 2006 probably weren't born or too young for the first version.

This newer version is more of a drama with side stories and flashbacks, and def has lots of special effects. Very pretty to look at, but difficult with all the cameras constantly shaking/panning in and out as if they were handheld. it's def up there as one of the best sc-fi shows produced for tv. One should say it's different, not better than the original considering the original was one of the most expensive shows of it's time. i enjoyed both in different ways.

Don't mind the download process....it transfers right to my Archos 605 with no problems and the quality on my 42 in plasma is great too.

BSG is a great show. Clever, fast paced, characters that grow on you. I'm totally hooked.

well i was all excited to watch episode 3, but it never downloaded. after reading through the help section in unbox apparently the application can just sort of shut down on you without warning from time to time and they recommend backing up your previously downloaded episodes to a storage device or dvd. nice. this is dissapointing to me since one of the major selling points of this otherwise sort of weird, stop-gap way of accessing bsg until they release the dvds is the instant downloading feature. turns out not so much. i now own a weird special feature-less, sub-title-less version of this episode that won't even download, which i only could've watched on my pc anyway, unless i burned it to a dvd or watched in on my tv through a cable and then would still have to look at the unbox frame. the cool part was that i was going to get to watch it right now!

that said i had fun downloading the first two episodes. everything went smoothly and quickly and next thing i knew i was watching bsg and thought i was going to be an unbox addict. too bad they really don't have the bugs worked out. regardless, there should be a special promotion offered to unbox users when the dvds do come out. the one definitely does not replace the other.

Love this show! I think amazon is better than Itunes because I've searched Itunes and couldn't find these episodes. For those of you who complain about this not being supported with Mac. Stop whinning who limits themselves to one computer?
