The cap needs to stay on better
I love the flavor of the water and the ease of use but the cover needs to be tighter. If all the water hasn't been filtered through and you go to pour through the spout, the cap comes off and a mess ensues. Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

Ten years and still going!
My Brita filtering pitcher, made from non-leaching plastic, is at least ten years old. Changing the filter is a breeze and when situated on the counter, is convenient to refill. Each filter last 4 to 6 months and I drink A LOT of water! The Brita water pitcher is voted a GoGreenMart&More product of the week.
But there are other green ways to get your daily water intake. Many fruits and vegetables are portable, self contained water sources naturally high in vitamins and fiber. For example, oranges, apples and carrots are 85 - 92% water, a bowl of cereal with milk contains up to 87% and pasta absorbs lots of water during cooking.

saves me money
I used to buy bottled water to take to yoga or martial arts training. Now I just filter and use my own bottle. Saves $2-3 a pop. Water tastes clean. Thursday, June 5th, 2008

Good Product, but if you have the room in your fridge, buy the larger one
Overall, we're very happy with the Brita Atlantis Pitcher. Also bought one for Mom. The only minor problem is is sometimes spills a little if you don't pour carefully. The water tastes great, and we use it all the time at home, now only using bottled water for on-the-go. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY UPGRADING TO THE BRITA DELUXE OR BRITA CHROME: The Brita Deluxe has an indicator light to signal you to change filters however it goes off after a set amount of time rather than the actual usage of the filter. I got one as a gift and prefer the standard model. The light just gets annoying, especially when you know you don't need to change the filter yet. The chrome model also has the annoying light and is more difficult to clean (my sister has it). If you have more than one person in the house, or if you drink a lot of water, I would suggest buying the larger size. Or you can do what we do. We bought another large refillable bottle that we keep filled with the filtered water while the Brita is doing its job.
You can often get great deals on the replacement filters if you keep your eyes open for sales, and it's definitely worth it to buy the 3 pack of filters.
Definitely rinse the filter twice before you use it.

Safe and Good Tasting Water. I Like that
Don't trust your water? Filtered or not, this pitcher will make you sure it's safe. Pour the water in and it'll filter it again. It reduces copper and gets rid of 99% of lead in water. Tap water can't be trusted for you and your family. Make sure you know what you're drinking before you put it to your lips. You shouldn't risk your health and the health of the ones you love. This pitcher is designed to help you clean the water you drink. Plus, this is one darn product that is easy as pie to use and you get good tasting water to boot. Tuesday, April 15th, 2008
