Lighted Desk Magnifying Lamp w/ clamp

Bought this for my son - he does models -- likes to take things apart and work on small stuff. This lamp is high quality and a great tool.

I have had one for years as a desk light I use every day. They put out a lot of light, and great for reading small print.
Has a C-Type clamp for mounting to desk, or work bench. Get one for Someone as a gift.

I have ordered his type of item before for work and it's much as I expected.
One small draw back is that the magnifying lighted head is a bit stiff because of the power cord leading into the head unit.
My first unit the light died, it was the electronic ballast.
Where I ordered it from had UPS come pick it up and sent a replacement which seems to be working fine.
Overall the customer service is right at the top of of my list.

I bought this product as a gift for my husband who loves to build models but has had trouble seeing the small parts lately. He has only had it a month or so, so I can't comment on durability. That said, it arrived quickly and in perfect working order. The light is not only bright, it's enclosed which is a great point for him as he works with tools right next to it (and thwacking the bulb would be an easy thing to do). It attaches easily and the cord is long enough to reach the 6 or so ft. to the outlet. It took him all of 5 minutes to set it up. The magnification is great! I've even used it to read tiny print on a bottle that I couldn't quite make out.

Highly recommended.

The desk lamp is a great asset for my model railroading workbench. The power of the lens is sufficient for the smallest of details. I get more power, with less heat than the previous lamp, with a 60W bulb....
