Toro Ultra 12 Amp Variable Speed Electric Blower/Vacuum With Metal Impeller #51599

I recently purchased the Toro Ultra after owning a gas powered unit. The gas unit I had lasted about three seasons and repairs were going to cost about as much as buying new. I used the Toro right after receiving it, and I am very pleased. The only drawback to electric is having to drag around the cord, but the unit operates noticably stronger than my old gas blower with no required maintenance. Also the metal impellar is a nice feature.

This blower/vac has two features that make it the best available:
1. It uses a metal grinding/chopping impeller which doesn't wear out.
2. It has an infinitely variable blower velocity able to adjust to the conditions at hand.

The item was purchased for use as a blower only and have had no opportunity to use it as a vac. Living among giant pines with long needles, I wanted an easy way to move alot of needles in addition to the leaves. I was not disappointed as to the performance since it out-performed any gas blower I have used. It is also so light in weight and so much quieter that it was actually fun to use. Don't know why anyone would want a gas powered unit if they can reach their work with a power cord. A great buy! I highly recommend.

Blower is great. Does an excellent job on leaves. The Vacuum does not work as well, as it must ingest not only leaves but all of the other stuff on twigs, gum balls. Each of these objects must go through the motor, and that does not work well.
