Great Buy
We bought this for our 5 year old granddaughter for Christmas. She absolutely loves it. She ignored other gifts to play this. It's not very big so I wouldn't recommend for anyone over 6 or 7. You can't go wrong with this if you have a Hannah Montana fan in your life.

Great for younger girls
I purchased this as a gift for my 6 1/2 year old niece who LOVES Hannah Montana. She was terrible at it at first but within only 30 minutes she was doing really well. We loved that it was just plug and play to any TV. She is young and doesn't have any video game platforms, so this was perfect! I definitely would not pay more than $20 for it, since it only had a couple songs programmed into it.

Fun toy at a great price!
I bought this as a Christmas present for my niece who is 9 yrs. old and she loved it!
I bought it on Amazon and it was a stellar price (under $15). This toy requires 4 AA batteries.
The guitar has a video and mono audio RCA input jacks that can be connected to most modern televisions. Gameplay is relatively easy as the player has to hold down the right key on the neck while strumming on a silver pickup. The hardest part is to time it correctly so that you hit the note at the right time. As the player keeps getting better, more song choices are unlocked so that the gamplay becomes more exciting. There is even a head to head option so that two players can play against each other.
It was tougher for a 6 year old to play but is more than adequate for a 8-10 year old.
Overall this was a good buy and will definitely be a hit with any child who likes Hannah Montana.

So close, but yet still fun.
It is exactly what it appears to be, Guitar hero for young girls.

One major gripe is the strum controller. On the guitar hero guitars you can rest you thumb on the strum switch as you learn and focus on the screen. On this, there is no switch per se, but a motion sensor. this would be fine for older guitar hero players. but the young ones here had a hard time bringing their hands back to the correct space because you have to move you whole hand a good distance from the guitar or the sensor will not reset.

Otherwise it is fun to play and watch.
