14 Batteries of Fun!
The boys were fighting to see who keeps the toy. They enjoyed running around chasing each other.
I should have read the review but it uses 14 "AA" batteries. What you don't pay in the toy, you pay it in batteries.

Halo 3 Laser gun set
The set worked fine for about five minutes and then one of the guns speaker quit. You can barely hear the laser gun blasts if you put your ear right up to it. Otherwise, it still functions, activating the laser box the kids wear. It's made in China. Not too impressed with the quality.

My nephew went bonkers for it!
This was without a doubt the gift that got the biggest "oh, boy, let's play" response this Christmas from the kiddies. As soon as the box got opened, my niece and nephew hustled in the batteries and went to the yard to play--running, diving, rolling. Just having a heckuva great time.

I thought just the boys would like it, but this was just a hit all around.

So, yeah. Kids like it. :) Just remember to buy a boatload of batteries. You need 14 to play, and I'm guessing they don't last that long. We included 14 batteries with the gift, just so they could enjoy it right off.

So fun for a great price!
I read all the reviews on hear and decided I'd get some for christmas. I ordered 5 sets. I knew that they would take a lot of batteries (4 for each gun and 3 for each target) but we always have a plethora of batteries. The adults were so excited about them and were playing later that night. I like them because they're fun but also if something happens to one-like it gets broken in the frenzy-they are easily replaced.

You get what you pay for.
This is a fun little toy, but don't confuse this for the other version of the plasma pistol. This one isn't as pretty and flashy, does not have the rumble and doesn't pop open on overheating. It has the sound effects, a little light on the side that flashes when overheating, and some extremely faint green lights in the "barrel" and in terms of gameplay it is functionally the same, but it isn't a great replica like the more expensive version. Bottom line, if you want a cheap laser tag set, (or just want to have enough to be able to use one or two of the more expensive models in a real game) then these are a good deal. If you want awesome halo collectibles, you'd be better off getting the solo version.
