LEGO Star Wars V-19 Torrent

I bought this lego feeling it would be fun and cool to transform the wings. But let me tell you the wings fall apart really easily and it does NOT transform in its three positions. I would say it is the worst lego in the clone lego series. The others are really easy and fun to build including the lego gunship and the ATTE. No wonder Amazon is selling it 42% of its original price. It is a good lego to show without touching. But if your in its recommended age group do not buy it!

I got this set with my christmas money. When I started building the wing I realized that the entire model was put toghether backwards. This product was bigger than I thought, it was a little exspensive, but it was a good set. The clone pilot was pretty sweet. Here's some advice: if it makes a big clicking sound you'll have to repair it. Over all it was an excellent set I would recommend it to everyone.

My 8 year old son got this lego set from Santa. It took him a few hours to put it together. Same great quality we have gotten from all of the lego sets we have bought.

It took me 3 hours to build it. The direction was easy enough to understand.

My 6+1/2 year old just finished building this model. He did great on 95% of it, but the wing mechanism has to be carefully positioned in order to have everything work right and I had to help him with this (it took me several minutes to figure out). We place finished models in a display case and that is all this model could handle. It is a little fragile and could be a frustration to a child that wants to work the wing mechanism in play.

For the first time after 5-6 models we came across a missing piece with this model. (I am not sure it was actually missing; it is possible we lost it). I went on line ([...]) and ordered the missing part and we had it in ~7 days at no charge. I was really impressed with the ease of getting the replacement and pleased that this went so smoothly.

My son LOVES Lego Star Wars. We have enjoyed watching him work through the challenges of building them. I am sure he is learning a lot of fine motor dexterity, reading diagrams and learning to imagine 3D structures from different perspectives. There are a few of these models that are really too fragile (i.e. Hail Fire Droid) when assembled, but mostly they are great.
