This doll's gotta go!
I bought this doll because my granddaughter wanted it; it was her only request of Santa. I liked the idea that it did not really drink and wet. Now I wish I had gone for a drink and wet one. The doll is not played with. The accessories tend to fall over and they fall apart easily. For $[...], I expect a little more quality in a toy. Also, she never stops cycling through the same phrases, so she has to go over and over.

Fun and educational
This doll is a bit on the expensive side (if you get it at full price), watch for a sale like I did and you can get it from Amazon through target for $40.00. The doll is well constructed and offers a whole playset of fun. She brushes her teeth, washes her hands, goes to the bathroom, etc.... The doll really helps little ones to grasp some of the concepts that we as adults make them deal with, flushing the toilet, washing hands, etc...

Now they get to be the mommy and take care of there little ones. The doll is a ton of fun. My 3 1/2 year old couldn't wait to get it and was not dissapointed at all when she did.

This may help you decide if this doll is worth it...

My daughter saw the commercial and fell in love with the doll and her cute song. It was the same song I sang to her when she was learning to potty, what a coincidence! I should have had it trademarked, oh well. Anyway, I spent about 10 minutes playing with the doll and noted all of her sayings.

I also noticed that the toilet seat is really a button, and when you place the doll on the toilet it activates the button and there must be a sensor too, as the doll "knows" when to pee and p00p and won't say anything pee or p00p related unless she is on the toilet. She also doesn't always say p00p things, only about half the time she's on, which is like a real kid, they don't p00p every time. She may also fool you, saying she has to go, then you put her on the toilet and she'll say, "Nope, no potty."

There must also be a sensor that tells when she is vertical or horizontal, as she says sleepy things when she is reclining or lying down. I also noticed that if you ignore her request to drink or "go", she might say "Please" or the "Try again later" saying.

Inside the toilet is a disk that spins. When the toilet is flushed the "p00p/pee" side of the disk flips and it changes to clean water. You should then close the lid. When you open the lid to have the doll "go" again the disk will flip to show the pee/p00p again. There is a clear plastic barrier in toilet so the kids can't reach in and touch the rotating disk.

So far after a whole day of play the "bathroom" is still intact, we haven't had a problem with the shelves staying on at all, they seem pretty tight. If you are having problems with the shelves, make sure you look underneath to make sure it's snapped into place.

She raises her hands and turns her head quite often. When she's inactive you can lift her arms up and down, they move in unison. Her legs can be moved 180 degrees, but it's a tight rotation, kids may have trouble adjusting them. She has a speaker on her belly in the shape of a heart with a button in the middle to get her talking.

One thing I would change is I wish they made this doll with brown hair speaking English. My daughter will never be a natural blonde and I always buy her dolls and ask others to buy her dolls with brown hair to encourage her to have a positive self image. The English speaking choices are Caucasian/Blonde Hair or African-American/Black Hair.

My 3 year old daughter absolutely loves playing with this doll. My 5 year old son even played with it for a while doing what the doll requested. I can hardly believe I spent so much time writing this review, but I really like this doll and wanted others to know all of the features before they shelled out the big bucks. Way to go Fisher Price, you make a good doll.

great doll to teach your daughter potty training
My daughter is 2 and saw this commerical and told everyone that she wants this doll. I was hesitant becuase it was expensive, I waited for Amazon to drop the price, and then I jumped on it. I must say its great my daughter is learning the concept of saying she has to go potty etc, then it teaches them good hygiene like washing hands after etc. I recommend this toy, hopefully you can get it for cheaper than 55.00 when amazon drops the price again... very pleased
