Good house, little flimsy though
My 3 y/o daughter asked Santa for 2 things..this being one of them. Obviously we happily obliged. I put the house together and one of the doors on the 3rd floor is too small to actually stay in, so if she even looks at it too hard, it'll fall out. Obviously cannot be glued in or it wont open.
The flower box outside of the kitchen window does not fit..it also is too small. It falls out if the house is bumped too hard.
The window in the 3rd floor room also pops out if looked at too hard
The kicker was today my daughter was playing with the house and one of the doorknobs came off the door, no rhyme or reason, just simply fell off. If i hadn't seen it with my own 2 eyes I would not have believed her when she said iot fell off.
I promptly called mattell cause I had had enough with things just falling off this pretty expensive toy. The lady looked the house up on the computer and swore up and down to me there was NO pink 3 story dream house. It was white. I said the monitor must need a color adjustment cause this house is clearly pink. Anyhow, long story short, she can send me replacement accessories, BUT they dont have that door in the accessory pack..so the ONE thing that actually cannot be fixed by being glued down cannot be replaced. My other option? Get a refund if I send them all of the accessories from this one so I can go buy another one and risk having the same problems.
All in all, even though that door irritates me, my daughter only minds once in a while when she has trouble getting it back on herself. She loves the house, and while the bathroom could have a bit more space, I'd buy it again if I found it at the sale price that I did.

The Barbie Dreamhouse is pretty good
My daughter, 11, absolutley loves barbie. She has an entire collection of dolls (made up mostly of the dolls you can find at target, but she has a lot of collector and vintage dolls as well). She really wanted the Barbie Dream House for her bithday, and although I was a bit skeptical about buying it after a traumatic experience with the Barbie Talking Town House a few years ago, I got it for her.
The price here is absolutley unreasonable. We got ours at Toysrus for $120-we saved $200 by driving for 5 minutes and waiting in line to pay for about 15 minutes.
After buying it and giving it to an overly-delighted child on her birthday, we opened it up the next day and assembled it (the box for it is about 4 feet tall and is pretty heavy). assembly for the house didn't take long (snapping a few things in place was all)-what took FOREVER was placing the little stickers all over the house (and if your daughter is like mine, the stickers have to be PERFECT or they aren't right)
after about an hour, the house was ready to play with.
The house is very good, but here are some flaws-
The house is MASSIVE, and storage isn't easy
the house doesn't include anywhere to put the many tiny accesories it includes
A lot of the windows keep falling off
putting the stickers on takes forever
other then that, the house is a great toy and definitley worth the money (meaning $120, not $300)

My niece loves this doll house!
Bought this for my niece for Christmas last year and she was absolutely thrilled. Takes a bit to set it up, but it's big and so much fun for little girls. Highly recommended. Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008

Barbie Dream House well worth the money
The Dream House has been a great role-playing tool for my 3 and 5 year-old girls. They've had Barbies for about 6 months, but have not really played with them until now. Now...they can't stop!
The House was easily assembled with the help of my 5 year-old. It hasn't left the family room. They play with it on every rainy and home-bound day. It is a great toy and well worth the money. And with Amazon Prime, you just can't beat the shipping!!!

Barbie House
My youngest daughter loves the barbie house! It was actually pretty easy to put together, my teenager was able to assemble it in no time at all. The stickers on the other hand took a little while, as they are not numbered. Especially for the small items like the bathroom accessories. The elevator is not the same as on the older style barbie houses, the poor barbies keep falling off the elevator. The house folds up nicely to make easy to store. It's great that the dream house comes with all accessories! Great buy! Friday, May 9th, 2008
