Melissa and Doug Slice and Bake Cookie Set

I bought this for a (4) year old who loves to bake. It is not always convenient for an adult to accomodate her,(as she calls it) "baking needs", but this keeps her very happy until the real baking can happen. All of the pieces are very smooth and colorful. The set comes with a dozen cookies in a tube, 18 toppings, a knife, spatula, cookie sheet and oven mitt. The cookies can be "sliced" with the knife and then decorated with the toppings. Velcro makes it all happen, so there are no toppings falling off the cookies. She loves the fact that she is "baking by herself", and serves cookies to everyone. Wood toys were never so classy!

My 3 year old daughter LOVES this toy. It was the big hit this Christmas. It's the first thing she gets when she wakes up in the morning. Right now she is having fun exploring the toy with her imagination but in the future we'll use some of the educational ideas like sorting, counting and "taking orders" that Melissa & Doug give you on the back of the toy. The cookies and the frosting come with velcro spots so they stay attached to each other as well as the cookie sheet when "serving" the cookies. Another great product from M&D.

Melissa and Doug Slice and Bake Cookie Set I have 4 grandkids under the age of six. Three boys and one girl. They love this play set. They can be really excited when they play together and these hold up very well. They love to serve everyone cookies. This is a good product. I had bought others.

This is a great toy for kids who are into PROCESSES! They can take the cookies out of the tube, slice them, put them on the cookie sheet, then after they are "baked", add frosting, then take them off the cookie sheet with the spatula. My daughter loves the step-by-step process, learning how baking works. She also loves to walk around and serve the cookies to everyone, asking which one they want. Another QUALITY product from Melissa and Doug... they really think of everything with this one! This set will become my new birthday gift for 2-3 year olds!
